| 背面描述 | The Arms of the State of Victoria occupy the central field, featuring a shield charged with the Southern Cross constellation, supported on the dexter by a female allegorical figure holding a laurel branch and on the sinister by a second robed female figure holding a cornucopia. Above the shield rises an elaborate helm and mantling surmounted by a crest depicting a crowned kangaroo passant. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the state motto PEACE AND PROSPERITY. The commemorative dates 1835 and 1985 flank the arms to left and right respectively, arcing along the upper periphery with the legend VICTORIA between them, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim. |

Issued to mark the 150th anniversary of Victoria's separation from New South Wales as a distinct colony — a process that formally concluded in 1851. The Royal Australian Mint introduced its silver commemorative program only a few years before this piece, and the 1985 issues represent some of the earliest sterling silver collectors' coins struck under that program.
