Reverse description A highly detailed, large-format portrait bust of a Palm Cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus) occupies nearly the entire reverse field, depicted in left-facing profile with its prominent erectile crest and distinctive heavy hooked beak rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished background. The denomination legend 10 DOLLARS appears along the right periphery in raised lettering. The engraver's initials HH are visible at the lower right of the design. The composition is naturalistic and bold, characteristic of the Australian Birds series piedfort issues.
