Reverse description The Arms of New South Wales are centrally displayed, featuring a shield divided into quarters bearing two golden fleeces and two wheat sheaves, with the State Badge at the centre. The shield is supported by a lion on the dexter side and a kangaroo on the sinister side, both standing upon a grassy compartment. A rising sun issues above the shield as a crest. A scroll beneath the achievement bears the State motto in Latin. The denomination 10 DOLLARS and the inscriptions COAT OF ARMS NEW SOUTH WALES and ORTA RECENS QUAM PURA NITES appear in the legend.
