| Opmerkingen |
The Bermuda Government's 1970 note series replaced the pre-decimal pound issues following the territory's switch to decimal currency on 6 February 1970 — a date deliberately chosen to coincide with Bermuda Day. De La Rue had printed Bermuda's notes for decades by this point, and the relationship showed in the quality of the intaglio work.
P#25 is among the scarcer denominations from this first decimal series. The watermark — a simple but effective security measure for the period — was standard De La Rue practice, though Bermuda's small economy meant print runs were modest compared to metropolitan issues.
