| Opmerkingen |
The P#59 series marked a transitional moment for Bahamian currency design — De La Rue retained the broad compositional framework from earlier issues while integrating updated security infrastructure ahead of the more substantial redesign that followed in the 2000s. The watermark on this issue is a stacked multiple watermark, a De La Rue house technique of the period.
The Bahamas had maintained De La Rue as its exclusive printer since independence in 1973, a relationship that continued unbroken through this issue and well beyond.
