Další informace	The Bahamas Monetary Authority was a transitional institution, established to manage currency after the country's 1969 internal self-government but before full independence in 1973. This $10 gold piece was part of a nine-coin proof set issued specifically for that interstitial moment — the Authority itself ceased to exist once the Central Bank of the Bahamas was constituted at independence. Coins struck under the BMA are consequently confined to a narrow two-year window. The .917 fineness follows the traditional crown gold standard, and the 1971 issue was produced by the Franklin Mint under contract.
