Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem, after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and SOLOMON ISLANDS along the upper right, with the denomination 10 DOLLARS descending along the right rim. The date 2017 appears in the lower exergue, and the designer's initials IRB are present below the truncation.

Reverse description Left-facing crowned and robed bust of King George V, closely modelled after the obverse design of the 1911 Canadian Dei Gratia Dollar pattern. The king is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown and elaborate military dress with decorative collar and epaulettes. The legend GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND:IMP: arcs around the upper field, while the lower exergue bears the inscriptions 1/2 G .9999 FINEST GOLD. A small circular privy mark bearing the V10 mintmark appears to the left of the bust in the field.
