Obverse description Facing portrait bust of Dolley Madison, fourth First Lady of the United States, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curled hair adorned at the crown. The legend DOLLEY MADISON arcs along the upper rim, while IN GOD WE TRUST appears in three lines to the left field. The inscription LIBERTY, the date 2007, and the West Point mint mark W are positioned to the lower right, with 4th and the tenure dates 1809-1817 inscribed along the lower rim, denoting her ordinal position and years as First Lady. The portrait is modeled in a refined neoclassical style by engraver Don Everhart.
