| Beschrijving voorzijde | The full Coat of Arms of Jamaica occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a red cross and five golden pineapples, supported by two Taino figures flanking the escutcheon, and surmounted by a crocodile passant atop a royal helmet with mantling. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto legend. The country name JAMAICA arcs along the upper legend, while the denomination TEN DOLLARS is inscribed in a curved legend at the bottom of the field. |

Issued to mark the United Nations Decade for Women (1976–1985), this commemorative was produced near the close of that initiative — the final UN World Conference on Women having been held in Nairobi in July 1985. Jamaica was among the earlier Caribbean nations to establish dedicated government machinery for women's affairs, and the coin's timing aligns with that domestic policy push rather than being purely a formulaic international issue.
