| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a sailing ship on the sea, a rising sun, a palm tree, a dove in flight, and a plough within a shield surmounted by a ribbon bearing the national motto. The date 2005 is split on either side of the shield, with '20' to the left and '05' to the right.
