Obverse description Coronet head of Liberty facing left, her hair bound in a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, with a pearl necklace at the neck. Thirteen six-pointed stars arranged in an arc surround the effigy — seven to the left and six to the right — and the date appears in the lower exergue.
