| Opmerkingen |
Released to mark the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, this collector issue was never intended for general circulation — it was sold directly to the public in a presentation folder at a premium over face value. Jamaica had become a republic within the Commonwealth in 1962, making the decision to commemorate a British royal milestone on Jamaican currency an unusual one, though the Bank of Jamaica had done something similar with earlier collector sets.
De La Rue's involvement was standard for the series; Jamaica's regular circulating notes of this period were produced by the same firm.
