| Obverse description | The obverse features the Public Seal of Niue displayed centrally within a raised circular cartouche, depicting a stylized coconut palm tree surrounded by a beaded border and crossed paddles below, with the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE arching above and the motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI on a ribbon beneath. The inner field is enclosed by an ornate multi-tiered border of interlocking wave and diamond patterns inspired by East Asian decorative motifs, evoking traditional Chinese cloud and scale designs. Stylized auspicious cloud motifs appear at the left and right of the inner border. The legend NIUE ISLAND arcs across the upper field and 10 DOLLARS across the lower field, both rendered in bold raised lettering. The fineness mark AG 999 and weight designation 5 OZ appear to either side of the central seal, with the date 2024 inscribed at the bottom of the coin. |
