Part of the long-running series of oversized, wafer-thin gold minors produced for the collector market under Pacific island issuing authorities — Solomon Islands among the most frequently used. At 0.31 g, the gold content is negligible; the face value is purely nominal, bearing no relationship to any circulating currency of the issuer.
