| Reverse description | Multiple faces of the cube display distinct effigies of Queen Elizabeth II, each reproducing a celebrated numismatic portrait from different periods of her reign. One face presents the young diademed and draped effigy after the classic coinage portrait, shown in right-facing profile with a tiara and pearl drop earring, the engraver's initials RDM inscribed below the truncation. An adjacent face bears a later effigy of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, shown in right-facing profile with a pearl drop earring, the engraver's initials JC appearing in the field. A further face, visible on the top of the cube, depicts the earliest crowned and veiled effigy after the Mary Gillick portrait in high relief. Each portrait is framed by the same elaborate border of floral sprays, thistles, shamrocks, and roses with national emblem roundels at the corners, all in antiqued matte silver. |
