The date 2024 is placed in the lower field beneath the central cartouche. | Reversbeschreibung | The reverse presents a richly detailed high-relief sculptural composition inspired by Lorenzo Ghiberti's celebrated Gates of Paradise, the gilded bronze doors of the Baptistery of Florence. Two large medallion-shaped panels dominate the field, each depicting a biblical scene rendered in deep relief: the left panel shows the Creation of Adam, with a robed divine figure raising a reclining male figure from the ground amid a rocky landscape with trees; the right panel shows the Creation of Eve, with a bearded figure gesturing toward a standing female figure attended by winged angels. The lower register of the field features an elaborate decorative border with scrolling acanthus foliage, a coiled serpent, fallen fruit, and turbulent waters rendered in fine sculptural detail. The entire composition is finished in antiqued silver, enhancing the three-dimensional modeling and chiaroscuro effects characteristic of Renaissance relief art. |
