| Obverse description | At centre, a raised circular medallion depicts the right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III, rendered in high relief against a polished field. The circumferential legend around the medallion reads 'CHARLES III · SOLOMON ISLANDS' with the denomination '10 DOLLARS' positioned below the portrait. To the left of the medallion the inscription '1/200 OZ' and to the right '.999 FINE GOLD' appear in bold lettering within the rectangular field. The background features an engraved mountainous alpine landscape with stylised conifer trees rendered in fine line work across the lower portion. |

At 0.15 grams, this belongs to the micro-gold series that several Pacific island sovereigns have issued through the Austrian Mint under licensing arrangements — pieces struck more for the novelty collector market than any pretense of circulation. Solomon Islands has no biathlon tradition whatsoever; the sport has never appeared at the Pacific Games.
