Obverse description At center, a circular medallion bears the uncrowned effigy of King Charles III in right-facing profile, rendered in high relief against a polished field. The legend CHARLES III · SOLOMON ISLANDS arcs around the upper portion of the medallion, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS appears at the base. To the left of the medallion, the fineness inscription 1/200 OZ is struck in the field, and to the right .999 FINE GOLD. The broader rectangular field features an engraved alpine mountain panorama as a backdrop, with conifer trees in the lower register, all executed in a warm gold finish.

Additional information

At 0.15 grams, this is among the smallest gold coins in current commercial production — a format pioneered largely by the Austrian Mint and rapidly adopted by Pacific island issuers whose nominal sovereignty makes them convenient licensing vehicles for European-designed collector series. Solomon Islands itself has no Olympic program of any consequence in alpine skiing.
