| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of Fiji at center, featuring a quartered shield with a lion passant in the upper canton, sugar cane, a coconut palm, a dove, and a British lion holding a cocoa pod, surmounted by a traditional Fijian canoe. The shield is supported by two Fijian warriors in traditional dress, one bearing a spear and the other a war club. A ribbon below the shield carries the national motto 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' in Latin script. The legend 'FIJI 2016' arcs across the upper field, with the denomination '10 DOLLARS' inscribed below, flanked by the fineness indicators '3 oz' and 'Ag 999' in the lower field.
