Obverse description The obverse displays the coat of arms of Fiji at center, featuring a quartered shield with a lion passant in the upper canton, sugar cane, a coconut palm, a dove, and a British lion holding a cocoa pod, surmounted by a traditional Fijian canoe. The shield is supported by two Fijian warriors in traditional dress, one bearing a spear and the other a war club. A ribbon below the shield carries the national motto 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' in Latin script. The legend 'FIJI 2016' arcs across the upper field, with the denomination '10 DOLLARS' inscribed below, flanked by the fineness indicators '3 oz' and 'Ag 999' in the lower field. The coin is struck in antiqued finish, lending the design a dark, aged appearance.

Reverse description The reverse presents an elaborate Celtic knotwork composition filling the entire field. At center, a triquetra (trinity knot) motif is formed by three interlocking arcs, enclosing an inlaid malachite cabochon of deep green hue. Within the triquetra's lobes, three stylized zoomorphic creatures rendered in insular Celtic manuscript style are depicted. Surrounding the central device, the field is densely decorated with triskelion spirals, triskele motifs, and interlaced knotwork panels arranged in concentric registers. The outermost border consists of a continuous broad interlaced braid pattern framing the entire design. The reverse carries no inscriptions, with all decorative elements executed in high relief with antiqued silver finish.
