| 备注 |
The Bank of Columbia was chartered in Hudson, New York in 1793, making it one of the earliest chartered banks in the state. By 1826, the bank was operating in a competitive upstate market increasingly pressured by the expansion of canal-era commerce and the Albany-dominated financial networks that followed the Erie Canal's 1825 opening.
Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. was among the most technically accomplished banknote printers of the period, operating out of Philadelphia and responsible for some of the finest intaglio work on American obsolete notes before the firm was absorbed into what eventually became the American Bank Note Company.
