| Reverse description | A full-color photographic-style portrait of a banded mongoose (Mungos mungo) is depicted facing forward within a circular colored inset at the center of the reverse, capturing fine detail of the animal's facial features including its dark eyes and muzzle against a naturalistic background. The surrounding border bears the legend AFRICAN WILDLIFE arcing along the upper portion, and TEN DOLLARS along the lower portion, each flanked by five-pointed stars. The silver-plated raised border provides a distinct frame separating the colored central motif from the outer inscriptions. |

| Additional information |
Liberia's early 2000s wildlife series was produced almost entirely for the collector export market, with no meaningful domestic circulation. These pieces were struck by private minting contractors — most likely Pobjoy or a comparable European facility — under license arrangements that Liberia used extensively during this period to generate foreign revenue rather than functional coinage.
