Beschrijving keerzijde A highly detailed scenic composition depicting a traditional Anguillian racing sailboat under full sail, centered in the field and navigating calm waters against a backdrop of mountainous coastline flanked by palm trees and lush tropical vegetation in the foreground. The upper arc of the inner border carries the bold legend ANGUILLA, while the date 2024 appears in the lower central field just below the vessel's hull. A decorative beaded inner border with compass-point motifs at the cardinal positions frames the entire design.

Aanvullende informatie

Anguilla's Regatta — held annually since 1967 and among the longest-running in the Caribbean — was originally organized partly as a strategy to keep local boat-building traditions alive at a moment when the industry was collapsing. The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has issued collector gold under the ECCB umbrella before, but Anguilla-specific attributions within that program are relatively uncommon given the territory's small size and limited philatelic and numismatic output.
