| Obverse description | The obverse bears the coat of arms of Liberia at center, depicting a three-masted sailing ship on the sea with a dove in flight above, a palm tree to the right, and a plow and shovel in the foreground, all within a shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE.
