The Federated States of Micronesia has no central bank and issues no official currency — the US dollar functions as legal tender throughout the four states. This note is a privately produced fantasy piece, not an instrument of any governmental or monetary authority. Collectible in the same category as similar "legal tender" curiosities marketed to the novelty and souvenir market, it carries no exchange value and was never authorized by any issuing institution recognized under international monetary law.
