Description de l’avers	Blue-dominant intaglio print over a multicolour guilloche underprint, with red and black dual serial numbers. A front-facing portrait vignette of Sir Stafford Sands occupies the right field, flanked by a central vignette of the yellow elder (Tecoma stans) blossom and a map of the Bahamas at left. A colour-shifting metallic foil element in the form of a butterfly is positioned at centre, with a see-through registration device at lower left.

The central vignette presents the Elbow Reef Lighthouse at Hope Town with a foreground group of flamingoes (Phoenicopteridae sp.), while a further group of flamingoes in flight occupies the upper right field. The Coat of Arms of the Bahamas appears at lower left, a windowed security thread bearing the denomination and bank logo runs at upper centre, and a see-through registration device is positioned at upper right.
