Obverse description	Intaglio portrait of A.B. 'Banjo' Paterson in right profile, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, occupies the right half of the note against a blue and green iridescent guilloche underprint; a vignette of a horse and rider in fine line engraving appears at upper right. The central transparent window incorporates a stylised wattle branch with cockatoos, a small cottage, and the numeral '10' in optically variable ink, flanked by green and gold microprint patterning. At left, a black cockatoo vignette is set within the decorative border alongside two facsimile signatures above the inscriptions 'GOVERNOR, RESERVE BANK OF AUSTRALIA' and 'SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY'.

The right portion carries a vignette of an elderly Gilmore seated writing, alongside the large numeral '10' and 'TEN DOLLARS' in vertical intaglio lettering; the upper right bears a colour-shifting Rolling Colour holographic patch with a black cockatoo motif, and the central transparent window mirrors the wattle and cockatoo design seen on the obverse.
