Obverse description The obverse is printed in black intaglio on an orange-pink guilloche underprint. At centre, the Royal Bank of Canada coat of arms is flanked by two oval portrait vignettes: a younger man in a suit to the left and an older gentleman to the right. The bank title THE ROYAL BANK OF CANADA arches across the top, with the denomination TEN DOLLARS at the lower centre, the serial number printed twice in red, and two facsimile signatures below, identifying the General Manager and the President, with the Montreal date and issuing authority.
