Obverse description The obverse is dominated by a central intaglio vignette of a classical female allegory seated on a throne, holding a staff and resting beside a lion, with an open book in her lap, rendered in fine line engraving. The bank title 'THE DOMINION BANK' arcs across the upper portion in bold serif lettering, flanked by ornate guilloche panels bearing the denomination numeral '10' in green underprint at left and right. The date 'Toronto, 2nd Jan. 1925' appears in the upper field, with two facsimile signatures below the vignette for General Manager and President respectively, and red serial numbers printed at left and right.
