Descrizione del dritto	Orange and black note with an ornate guilloche border in dark ink. A central intaglio vignette shows Britannia in classical dress, holding a trident and shield, set within an oval frame flanked by two large numeral '10' counters; allegorical female figures in classical robes occupy the left and right margins as pillar vignettes. The upper inscription reads 'THE STANDARD BANK OF CANADA / WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND', with 'TORONTO' at lower left and the date '2ND JANUARY 1924' at lower right, accompanied by two manuscript signatures identified as PRESIDENT and GENERAL MANAGER.

Descrizione del rovescio	Printed entirely in green, the reverse centres on a large oval medallion containing the arms of the Standard Bank of Canada encircled by the inscription 'THE STANDARD BANK OF CANADA / 1873', flanked by bold numeral '10' counters on each side and framed by an elaborate lathework and guilloche surround. Smaller '10' numerals appear in each corner against a fine engine-turned background. The denomination 'TEN DOLLARS' is lettered in a panel at the lower centre.
