| 备注 |
Ta-Ching Government Bank was established by imperial edict in 1905 as the Qing dynasty's first modern central bank, designed to consolidate financial authority and compete with the foreign banks that had come to dominate Chinese commercial life. This note was printed before the bank had fully established its branch network, and many denominations from this 1906 series saw limited actual circulation outside treaty port cities.
The American Bank Note Company contract was part of a broader Qing modernization push that brought several government printing jobs to New York in the early 1900s. The bank itself collapsed with the dynasty in 1911, cutting the series short.
