The bank title 'THE METROPOLITAN BANK' arches across the upper margin in bold serif lettering, while ornate guilloche medallions bearing large numeral '5' counters occupy both lower corners. The place and date of issue 'TORONTO, NOVEMBER 5th, 1902' are inscribed along the lower centre, beneath which appear two manuscript signatures for the President and General Manager. |
