| 表面の説明 | The obverse is engraved in the characteristic style of the American Bank Note Company, with a central vignette of a busy industrial and harbour scene including factories, a steam locomotive, and a paddle steamer on a waterway. To the upper left, a small vignette with books and a globe appears within an ornate frame, while to the lower left a guilloché numeral '10' panel is set in a hexagonal border. To the right, an intaglio portrait medallion of Queen Victoria in crown and regalia occupies the lower right corner within an elaborate lathe-work oval. The issuer's name 'International Bank of Canada' is inscribed in bold serif lettering across the centre, above the promise-to-pay text and the place of issue 'TORONTO' with manuscript date June 1, 1859. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in green and displays a bold guilloché pattern centred on the large word 'TEN' set within and behind an oversized numeral '10', the letters rendered in an interlocking latticework of fine engine-turned lines. Ornamental floral rosette motifs occupy each corner, framing the central denomination device. The design is entirely typographic and lathe-work, with no pictorial vignette, relying solely on the geometric complexity of the underprint for visual effect. |
