The AH date 1313 appears within the central medallion beneath the star. An Arabic circular legend is inscribed in the surrounding panels, detailing the denomination, weight, mint city of Berlin, and the regnal year, all rendered in fine calligraphic script characteristic of the Alaoui Sharifian coinage of Sultan Abd al-Aziz. |

The triangular and rectangular compartments between the square and the outer circular border are decorated with intricate foliate arabesque scrollwork in low relief. A circular Arabic legend occupies the outer border, presenting an elaborate honorific and dedicatory inscription in fine calligraphic Maghribi script, characteristic of the formal Sharifian coinage of the Alaoui dynasty. |
