Opmerkingen

The UAE Central Bank's first unified dirham series launched in 1973, but the P#8 10 Dirhams belongs to the revised second series introduced in 1982, which brought updated security specifications and refined plate work from De La Rue. The watermark on this issue — a falcon's head — was carried consistently across the series as the Emirates' chosen national symbol for paper security.

De La Rue's London production during this period was handling multiple Gulf state contracts simultaneously, and the technical consistency across those issues is notable. The 1982 series remained in circulation well into the 1990s before the third series began replacing it.
