Obverse description Central field features a detailed depiction of the Romanesque church of Sant Joan de Caselles set against a mountainous landscape, rendered in high relief within a recessed circular panel. The mint mark (M) of the Royal Mint of Spain appears to the right of the central motif. The circular legend surrounding the field reads, in Catalan, the title of the co-prince Joan Marti i Alanis as Bishop of Urgell and Prince of the Valleys of Andorra. The inscription SANT JOAN DE CASELLES appears below the church in the lower portion of the inner field. The overall design reflects a refined engraving style characteristic of late 20th-century Spanish minting.

Reverse description The reverse displays a bold, large numeral '10' dominating the central field, rendered in a modern typographic style with strong contrasts between polished and matte surfaces. The denomination legend DINERS is inscribed in capital letters along the lower portion of the field. The date 1988 appears in small vertical characters along the left side of the numeral '1', integrated into the design. Concentric circular grooves frame the composition, adding a geometric decorative element to the overall layout.
