| 正面描述 | Central field displays the quartered coat of arms of Andorra surmounted by a mural crown, showing the traditional heraldic divisions of the Andorran shield including the mitre and crosier of the Bishop of Urgell and the stripes of the Crown of Aragon. The denomination '10 D.' appears below the shield flanked on either side, with the inscription 'ECU' and the date '1998' in the lower field. The circular legend around the periphery reads 'JOAN D.M. BISBE D'URGELL I PRINCEP D'ANDORRA', identifying the co-prince Joan Martí i Alanis in his capacity as Bishop of Urgell and Prince of Andorra. |

Andorra's commemorative coinage program in the 1990s was largely a revenue exercise, producing collector-targeted silver issues with minimal domestic circulation. Händel's inclusion in the series reflects no particular Andorran connection — he was born in Halle, spent his most productive decades in London, and died a naturalized British subject in 1759. The bishop named on this coin, Joan Martí i Alanis, served as Co-Prince from 1971 until 2003, one of the longest tenures in the episcopal co-principality's modern history.
