| 表面の説明 | The quartered coat of arms of Andorra, surmounted by a bishop's mitre and an open royal crown, occupies the left half of the field. To the right, the denomination '10 DINERS' and date '1994' are inscribed in bold relief, with the designation 'ECU' appearing in the lower field. A circular legend reading 'JOAN D.M. BISBE D'URGELL I PRINCEP D'ANDORRA' runs along the periphery, enclosed by a beaded border. The design is executed in proof finish with a deeply mirrored field contrasting against frosted relief elements. |

Andorra applied for United Nations membership in 1993 and was admitted on July 28 of that year as the 184th member state — remarkably late for a recognized European nation, a consequence of its unusual co-principality structure, which complicated questions of sovereignty and legal standing for decades. The coin commemorates that admission under Joan Martí i Alanis, the Bishop of Urgell and one of Andorra's two co-princes alongside the French President.
The bishopric of Urgell has held co-sovereign authority over Andorra since a paréage agreement of 1278.
