| 背面描述 | Central field features the bold dual dates 1957 and 1977 in large numerals, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the proclamation of the Tunisian Republic. Above the dates, an Arabic inscription denotes the republic's founding, while a decorative olive branch curves across the lower left portion of the field, symbolizing peace and national identity. A profile effigy, likely allegorical, appears on the right side of the field. The denomination 10 دنانير (10 Dinars) is inscribed along the lower margin, and the engraver's name EL HERN appears near the lower right rim. The encircling Arabic legend الذكرى العشرون للجمهورية التونسية runs along the upper and left periphery. |

Tunisia declared its republic on July 25, 1957, exactly one year after Habib Bourguiba forced the bey to abdicate — making 1977 the formal twentieth anniversary the issue commemorates. Bourguiba, who would declare himself president-for-life the following year, used commemorative gold coinage throughout his tenure as instruments of state prestige and diplomatic gift-giving rather than circulation currency.
