Aanvullende informatie

Issued by the Bahrain Monetary Agency to mark the inauguration of Isa Town, the planned settlement built south of Manama to relieve the capital's housing pressure during Bahrain's oil-boom expansion of the 1960s and 70s. The town was named for Emir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who ruled from 1961 until his death in 1999.

The .917 fineness — crown gold standard — places this squarely in the Gulf commemorative tradition of the period, where collector-focused gold issues were struck to exacting jewelry-grade standards rather than monetary ones. Fr#5 suggests a small series; surviving populations in any condition remain modest.
