| Obverse description | Central field features the Arabic legend of the issuing authority in ornate calligraphic script arranged in a circular composition. The inscription reads 'البنك المركزي الجزائري' (Central Bank of Algeria) and occupies the majority of the central disc. The design is framed by a raised inner border separating the central legend from the outer decorative zone. Each of the ten sides of the decagonal flan is adorned with elaborate arabesque scrollwork and interlaced vegetal motifs in a continuous ornamental border, reflecting traditional Algerian decorative art. |
