Комментарии	Iraq's 1950 currency law reorganized the monetary system and transferred note-issuing authority from the British-controlled Iraq Currency Board to the newly established National Bank of Iraq — this note belongs to that first independent emission. Bradbury Wilkinson in New Malden handled the production, as they did for a substantial share of British colonial and post-colonial currency work throughout the mid-twentieth century. The watermark is the sole security provision, which was unremarkable for the period but left the series relatively vulnerable once political instability made counterfeiting a practical concern in later decades.
