Obverse description At left, an intaglio vignette of King Peter II Karađorđević in national costume, wearing the Order of the Star of Karađorđe (2nd degree), with the Stari Most bridge of Mostar rendered in the background. The main text block carries the bank title and denomination in Cyrillic script, with serial number and date of issue (22 September 1939) printed in letterpress. A handstamped Italian military overprint reading "VERIFICATO" (verified) appears on the face, applied during the Italian occupation of Montenegro in 1941.

The denomination and bank name appear in Latin script across the design, with guilloche underprint ornamentation. A watermark area is reserved at the left.
