Obverse description The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia state coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a torch with a flame rising above crossed wheat sheaves bound at the base, surmounted by a five-pointed star; the date 29·XI·1943 appears on a ribbon at the base of the arms, commemorating the founding of the AVNOJ assembly. The bilingual circular legend reads СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА · SFR JUGOSLAVIJA in Cyrillic and Latin scripts respectively, running along the outer rim. The denomination Д 10 D, combining the Cyrillic and Latin abbreviations for dinar, is inscribed at the bottom of the field below the coat of arms.
