| Opmerkingen |
Issued under the collaborationist administration during Axis occupation, this note was authorized by the puppet Nedić government's Narodna Banka but retained the pre-war institutional name — a deliberate fiction meant to project continuity with the Royal Yugoslav state. The actual printing was handled by the State Printing Works in Belgrade under occupation conditions, with materials and output subject to German oversight.
The 1943 series circulated alongside Serbian occupation dinara issued by a separate authority, creating overlapping currencies in the same territory. Distinguishing between legitimately issued examples and wartime forgeries — several were documented by Allied intelligence — remains a concern with this type.
