Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse displays a central figural design depicting a standing female figure facing slightly right, raising both arms to hold a vessel in her left hand and a conch shell in her right, enclosed within a circular border. This imagery commemorates the United Nations Decade for Women (1976–1985). Surrounding the central circle, the legend UNITED NATIONS DECADE FOR WOMEN arcs across the upper field, while TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS runs along the lower right periphery, and the denomination 10 CROWNS is inscribed in the lower central field. The mintmark CHI, denoting Valcambi SA, appears at the far left of the outer legend.

Aanvullende informatie

The United Nations Decade for Women (1976–1985) generated a wave of commemorative coinage across Commonwealth territories, most of it unremarkable. The Turks and Caicos Islands issued prolifically throughout the 1980s — their crown-sized silver program was explicitly designed for the collector market rather than circulation, with the islands' small population and dollar-based economy leaving little practical demand for high-denomination domestic coinage.

KM#63 is a terminal-year issue, struck as the Decade formally closed.
