备注

El Salvador's Banco Central de Reserva was itself only established in 1934, created by legislative decree in July of that year as part of a broader monetary restructuring following the collapse of coffee prices and the fiscal damage of the early Depression years. This note is among the earliest issues from that institution — the bank had barely begun operations when these were printed.

The ABNC held long-running contracts with numerous Central American republics through this period, and the engraving quality reflects that familiarity. Pick 78 is scarcer than the 1- and 5-colón denominations from the same series, likely due to lower print runs at the higher face value.
