Obverse description Blue-violet note with a central large numeral '10' over an intricate guilloche underprint, flanked by ornate scrollwork borders. A portrait vignette of Rodrigo Facio Brenes occupies the right side, rendered in intaglio. The upper margin bears the bank title, while the lower left carries a commemorative stamp marking the 150th anniversary of Costa Rican independence (1821–1971), with the date '24 de mayo de 1971' printed below the central vignette.
