The design incorporates ornate lathe-work borders and denomination numerals in each corner. Bank title and promise-to-pay legend are inscribed across the upper and central areas of the note.

Popis rubu	Printed in dark gray intaglio, the reverse centers on an oval guilloche vignette containing a left-facing portrait bust of Christopher Columbus. Denomination numerals "10" appear in each corner within ornate scrollwork frames, and a circular bank control seal is impressed at left. The legend "San Salvador, Septiembre 20 de 1910" appears below the central vignette, with the printer's imprint "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" at the lower margin.
