The USSR State Emblem appears at upper centre-left alongside the bank title in Cyrillic script, with the denomination spelled out in large bold letterpress type reading ДЕСЯТЬ ЧЕРВОНЦЕВ across the centre. Dense guilloche rosettes occupy the left panel and all four corners bear large numeral 10 countermarks, while a small-text guarantee clause runs beneath the main denomination legend. |

The year 1937 appears in small numerals below the central vignette, and the lower margin carries the denomination repeated in Ukrainian (ДЕСЯТЬ ЧЕРВІНЦІВ) and Belarusian (ДЗЕСЯЦЬ ЧЫРВОНЦАЎ). All four corner areas bear elaborate lathe-work medallions with numeral 10 panels, and the side borders display multilingual value inscriptions in the languages of the Soviet republics. |

The chervonets was originally introduced in 1922 as a hard-currency instrument backed by gold and foreign reserves, explicitly designed to function alongside — and eventually displace — the depreciated sovznaki ruble notes. By 1937, that gold-convertibility guarantee had long been quietly abandoned, though the denomination retained its name. The 10 Chervontsev note of this year was printed by Goznak in Moscow and belongs to the series that circulated through the late Stalin period, when currency reform discussions were already circulating internally within Gosbank.
Watermarking on Goznak output of this period is generally consistent, but strike quality on the typographic elements varies noticeably across surviving examples — a known characteristic of wartime-adjacent Soviet production runs.
